Visual Testing (VT), Level - II

Course Objective:

To provide the classroom training, and examination and then certify each successful candidate with a VT Level II qualification that complies with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer’s written practice. A valid Level II certificate holder is formally eligible to execute the visual examination on the relevant test job with respect to the applicable NDT written procedure and generate the test report accordingly.

Course Content:

  • Purpose and scope of VT, Advantages, Limitations, Applications.
  • Elements of vision, Elements of lighting.
  • Contrast and resolution, Optics.
  • VT equipment.
  • Visual appearance and discontinuities.
  • Evaluation, Reporting.
  • Codes, Standards, Specifications, and Operating procedures.

Course Duration:

Training:3 days (24 hours-Direct Level II), Exam:1 day (5 hours).

Who Should Attend:

This course will be beneficial to the personnel like Technician, Inspector, and Supervisor etc., who is working in an industry like oil-refinery, petrochemical plant, ship construction, etc. 

Pre-requirements:

Valid vision certificate, Minimum experience (210 hours in VT; 400 total hours in NDT). 

Certification:

ASNT: Training certificate; Level II certificate (5 years validity).

We provide Course notes, Magnifiers, Calipers, Gauges, Blocks, and Training specimens.
